FM receiver module

01 January, 2009

The RX2G from Radiometrix is a miniature PCB-mounted UHF radio data receiver module, offered in 433.92 MHz (UK band) and 434.42 MHz (European band) models.

Embedded Wi-Fi module

01 January, 2009

Connect One has released Nano WiReach, an embedded Wi-Fi bridge that connects any embedded device to 802.11b/g wireless LANs with minimal programming.

Motor amplifier

01 January, 2009

With fully programmable features, a Hall sensor amplifier from M Rutty is specifically engineered to optimise the performance of Portescap’s brushless motors in applications where efficiency, high acceleration or safety are of primary significance.

Laird Technologies RF modules

01 January, 2009

Laird Technologies has announced a range of RF modules for 2.4 GHz radios.

Integrated, 3D EM simulation for RF module design

02 September, 2008

Agilent Technologies has available the EMDS-for-ADSan integrated design flow solution that includes full 3D EM simulation for RF Module Design. It is integrated into the company's Advanced Design System EDA software platform and eliminates the need for standalone EM tools.

Multi-channel radio module

01 June, 2008

Radiometrix has introduced an addition to its LMT2/LMR2 transmitter/receiver series. Making use of the 458.525-459.1 MHz British frequency band (instead of the 433.875-434.650 MHz EU band used in previous versions), these higher power modules increase the distance over which they can communicate to 1 km, allowing engineers to enhance systems that previously had insufficient range (or insufficient link margin).

Vibration-resistant module

01 June, 2008

Aimed at applications where RF engineers need to consider the interference effects of nearby vibrating machinery, Radiometrix has developed the HVR2 receiver module, a high vibration-resistant version of the RLC2 that uses the company’s direct digital synthesiser (DDS) local oscillator design to make it almost totally immune to mechanical vibrations at frequencies below 500 Hz.

GE863-PRO3 GSM/GPRS module

07 April, 2008

Telit has released the GE863-PRO3 GSM/GPS module. The device includes a quad-band GSM/GPRS class 10 engine as well as a dedicated ARM9 application processor (the Atmel standard microcontroller AT91SAM9260) and flash and RAM memories.

Commercial modular series

05 March, 2008

The GME Commercial Modular Series offers the end user greater flexibility when choosing a commercial radio.

Remote programmer

05 March, 2008

Amalgamated Instrument has released a radio remote programmer for its large digit displays. This enhances the flexibility of the display range by allowing both set-up and control without wired connection or the necessity to access the set-up pushbuttons within the display. This ease of set-up presents a real safety advantage.
