Advanced Charger Technology provides charging and conditioning for professional radio batteries through dynamic electrochemical waveform technology that responds to the chemical state of the battery.

This means that ACT units deliver an individually tailored charge and condition cycle for the needs of the battery.

Batteries are simultaneously conditioned during the charge giving what is claimed to be the world's fastest charge times. A 1200 mAh NiCd battery is typically charged from empty to full in 35 minutes.

The charger eliminates the need to fully discharge batteries before charging and it reduces the chemical reactions that cause memory effect.

The charging system keeps batteries in a charge receptive state and precisely terminates the charge to prevent overcharging and heating.

The battery is conditioned during charging without any deep discharge cycle, eliminating the need for battery maintenance programs.

ACT units can be specified with a mix of battery adapters to reflect the diversity of batteries found in many radio fleets. Any mixture of NiCD, NiMH and LiIon batteries can be charged on one unit.

With tri-chemistry capability and interchangeable adapters, ACT chargers support batteries used to power over 100 different radio handsets.

By adding the optional iGauge, a charger bay can be transformed into a fully functional analyser. The iGauge fits underneath any standard adapter on the 6-bay unit and enables the capacity of a battery to be accurately checked. The gauge also includes a reACTivate function which provides a deep conditioning cycle allowing many batteries to be recoverable for operational use.
