Comms Connect panel preview: PSMB lessons learned
With Public Safety Mobile Broadband (PSMB) becoming a reality for more and more countries around the world, and Australia having announced its own PSMB Taskforce just this week, it appears the time is ripe to examine the lessons learned from international deployments in order to optimise PSMB in Australia. The Comms Connect team have brought together an esteemed panel of local and international industry leaders to discuss this topic and to share their expertise next month in Melbourne.
The panel session “Public Safety Mobile Broadband — global lessons learned and the local way forward” will be held on the second morning of Comms Connect 2023 on 19 October. The panel will be moderated by Chris Stevens, Managing Director of CartGiS, and includes the following experts sharing their thoughts on this important subject:
- Richard Carrizzo — FirstNet Authority Board Chair
- Bradley Creevey — Assistant Coordinator General, Operational Capability Branch, NEMA
- Phil Crnko — Director of Engineering, PSBN Innovation Alliance Canada
- Jason Johur — Broadband Industry Group Chair, TCCA
- James Pickens — CTO, NSW Telco Authority
- Steven Tsikaris — Infrastructure Executive, Vic Dept Treasury & Finance
The event will also feature panel sessions on the future of critical communications and the trajectory of P25 in Australia, in addition to three streams of stimulating conference presentations and six informative pre-conference workshops.
With less than three weeks until doors open, now’s the time to secure your ticket for your industry’s premier annual event. And don’t forget that bookings are closing on 6 October for the ARCIA Gala Dinner (to be held on the evening of 18 October), so make sure to register before it’s too late.
