ARCIA (Australian Radio Communications Industry Association) has organised a dinner and networking event for Adelaide on Thursday 15 September.

It will be held at the National Wine Centre of Australia and the evening will consist of a two-course dinner, a drink package and an address by Carol Wilson from the CSIRI SKA project.

The square kilometre array is a new generation of radio telescope that will give astronomers insights into the formation of the universe.

Carol will give an overview of the project and its implication in relation to radio exclusion zones and there will be a summary of business opportunities for the industry.

Tickets for the event, which begins at 6 pm with drinks and canapés followed by dinner at 7.30 to 11 pm, are $70 + GST until 31 August for ARCIA members and $100 + GST for non-members. From 31 August to 8 September, tickets are $80 + GST for members and $110 + GST for non-members.
