DAMM expands Peru public safety network
DAMM has rolled out a citywide TETRA network in Lima, the capital city of Peru.
Local system partner Dolphin Telecom built the network and plans further expansions in both capacity and coverage to enhance the service offering.
The challenging topography of Peru is covered by more than 40 sites and supports more than 3000 professional radio users. The expanded network covers the regions of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ica, Arequipa and Cuzco.
The CCO of DAMM, Allan Detlefsen, said, “We consider the development in Latin America a great achievement, and we see more and more operators worldwide moving into the PMR business.”
Javier Sanchez, CEO of Dolphin Telecom, said, “Communication means the difference between life and death, and the high reliability of DAMM has proven its worth. With DAMM’s solution, we have deployed the most reliable, secure first responder network in Peru.”
DAMM is celebrating more than 10 years of recognition as a provider for reliable, scalable and advanced first responder regional networks in Latin America.
