New Geraldton Greenough SES HQ includes comms centre
A new $1.9 million headquarters for the Geraldton Greenough State Emergency Service (SES) will support the local area and act as an incident control centre for large-scale emergencies in the greater region.
The facility includes a state-of-the-art communications room as well as space for seven vehicles, a training area and a vertical rescue training tower.
“This new $1.9 million state-of-the-art SES facility will improve response times, act as a backup incident control centre when necessary and encourage closer collaboration between emergency services,” said WA Emergency Services Minister Francis Logan, who opened the HQ on 27 July.
“This modern headquarters is centrally located, purpose-built and equipped with the very latest in communication technology.”
