REFFIND adds emergency beacon feature for employee safety
Tuesday, 01 March, 2016
REFFIND Limited has added a new feature to its mobile platform with the launch of a free emergency beacon that is designed to let organisations check on employees during emergencies or catastrophic events.
The REFFIND emergency beacon sends an ‘are you ok?’ card to every employee’s phone. The employee simply swipes right if they are okay, so employers know immediately if anyone needs help.
Jamie Pride, co-founder and managing director, REFFIND, said varying threats such as terrorism or natural disasters are significant causes of concern for companies.
“REFFIND saw the need for a concrete way for companies to help employees. The emergency beacon lets employers do a roll call of employees, fast. That means, if someone needs help, they can get it sooner,” said Pride.
“By implementing this feature, companies can demonstrate they take their duty of care seriously. It’s an easy way to check employees are safe in case of emergency and ensure any support is directed to where it may be needed.”
The emergency beacon is the fifth product launch for REFFIND since the company started in 2014.
