M2M Connectivity has become the distributor for Australia and New Zealand for Maxtena, a GPS antenna manufacturing company.

M2M will supply the range of GPS active and passive antennas including the compact microstrip patch antennas in sizes from 10 to 25 mm.

The company also supplies these antennas in developer tuning kits of 10 sample patch antennas tuned at 2 MHz intervals to allow the exact antenna frequency to be selected to compensate for download shifts caused by the device housing and onboard electrical components.

In addition to the patch antennas, M2M will also launch four models of external waterproof housed active LNA antennas covering GPS only, GPS/GSM, GPS/GLONASS and GPS/GSM/WiFi. These are high-gain, low-power models ideally suitable for tracking.

M2M will also distribute in Australia and New Zealand the satellite/GPS range of antennas from Hirschmann Car Communications.

M2M will supply a range of antennas for the Orbcomm and Iridium satellite networks that provide low-cost global data solutions and communication services to remote areas.

The latest range of antennas includes Orbcomm quarter wave roof or magnetic mount as well as multimode models for Orbcomm+GPS and Orbcomm+GPS+GSM.

For Iridium there are low-profile antennas with roof or magnetic mount and various connector options.
