Barrett HF chosen for Peruvian airport

High-power HF radios from Australia’s Barrett Communications have been chosen to upgrade communications at Peru’s Jorge Chavez International Airport.

Since 2001, Lima Airport Partners and the Peruvian Civil Aviation Authority have undertaken an extensive modernisation and infrastructure expansion of the airport, located in Peru’s capital, Lima.

Barrett 4075 units have been integrated into the communications infrastructure system, which is built on fully redundant, IP-based, separate transmit and receive sites.

The Barrett 4075 has a liquid-cooled design, in-built ARINC-based SELCALL and FCCp87 certification, which it received in August 2019.
