Codan's 2210 Envoy gets JITC certification
Codan has received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification for its 2210 Envoy HF radio.
JITC verifies interoperability for all products used in the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) networks.
The certification confirms that the 2210 Envoy conforms to the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) requirements of Military Standard MIL-STD-188-141B, Interoperability and Performance Standards for Medium and High Frequency (HF) Radio Equipment.
The JITC certification guarantees interoperability between Codan and other HF radio suppliers to establish a common waveform for ALE operation.
ALE selects the best frequency available and eliminates the need for repetitive calling on predetermined time schedules.
“JITC certification insures our customers that the Envoy meets interoperability criteria with other HF radios according to the DOD standard,” Codan Director of UN and US Business Development John Robins said.
“Achieving JITC certification demonstrates Codan’s serious investment in defence applications to support the need for interoperable platforms between coalition and PfP countries.”
