Hamburg firies to get Motorola TETRA two-way pagers
Hamburg, Germany, has contracted with Motorola Solutions to equip the city’s fire department first responders with 3000 TETRA two-way radio pagers.
The ADVISOR TPG2200 TETRA pager provides optimised availability through the TETRA digital radio network. The pagers also provide GPS for location services, enabling the control centre to send messages to only those firefighters who are close to the specific area of the emergency.
Hamburg’s fire department also uses the Motorola Solutions Integrated Terminal Management solution, which automates tasks such as software upgrades.
“The requirements for first responders including firefighters are constantly increasing. Fast, reliable, encrypted and subsequently digital alerting of the emergency services is of crucial importance,” said Axel Kukuk, Country Manager Germany at Motorola Solutions.
