Ferroxtag RFID tags

Ferroxtag is a family of RFID tags suitable for attaching to metal items. The operation frequency is 13.56 MHz and the family of high-frequency transponders is based on a ferrite antenna, which means the tag needs much less area than standard inlays for a similar reading range.

A key feature is the direction of the field activating the device. A parallel field means that the performance is almost independent of the material of the item identified.

The core is a high magnetic permeability ferrite material that enhances the performance of the winding, reducing the dimensions of the coil and the integrated circuit used is NXP ICode SLI, so the tags can be read by almost every HF reader.

Mechanical properties make the tag suitable for metal container and metallic item identification. Encapsulation protects the device against impacts and harsh environments.

The tag can be attached to totes, barrels, gas cylinders and industrial equipment.
