Simoco PVA9180 portable vehicle adapter
The PVA9180 portable vehicle adapter is designed to enhance the Simoco SRP9180/70 portable radio's capabilities when operated in vehicles.
The adapter allows an SRP9180/70 radio to be charged in a vehicle using the onboard DC voltage. The unit also automatically physically secures the portable so it cannot be displaced once inserted. Additionally, it provides a key-lock mechanism to further secure the portable radio inside the unit.
The portable radio can be charged whether it is powered on or off and LED indicators provide user feedback of current state of charge and operational status.
A mobile radio-like functionality can be achieved by providing connection of an external antenna and loudspeaker as well as connection of a handset or fist microphone.
