CRS Accessories has designed a GPS antenna/receiver that will work with any vehicle two-way radio that has GPS functionality built into it. The GPS module used in the vehicle is the SIRFIII.

The module is waterproof and has a magnet so it can be placed on a vehicle rooftop or placed on the dash of a vehicle (secured with double-sided tape). The module can be concealed inside the lining of the dash without hindering performance.

The device: is designed to plug straight into the back of the radio; has a 5 V regulator built in; has a blue indicator light inside that flashes every 5 s when it has acquired satellites; retains memory for fast acquisition when powered up; locates satellites quickly.

It has 20 channels L1 frequency C/A code; sensitivity acquisition is 142 dBm; sensitivity tracking is 159 dBm; position accuracy is <2.5 m (autonomous), <2.0m (WAAS), (50% 24 h static, 130 dBm).
