25 W commercial transceiver

Wednesday, 05 November, 2003 | Supplied by: GME Pty Ltd

Following in the footsteps of the TX3600 5 W commercial mobile transceiver, GME Electrophone has developed the TX3800 25 W model.

The overall chassis has been enhanced by only 50 mm without affecting the height or width. Using the optional remote conversion kit to separate the controls from the main body of the transceiver makes it a particularly small unit.

The full diecast chassis and top cover are able to dissipate the heat generated by the increase in output power while providing a rugged and robust radio.

With its 'Flash Upgradeable' microprocessor, it is a radio that is ready to meet the demands of the future. Flash ROM allows future system upgrades and the ability to include a 4800 bps data modem.

Features include: coverage from 450 to 520 MHz; 99 channel capacity plus 40 UHF CB channels; multi-trunk or signal strength voting standard; 5 or 25 W power; full built-in tone signalling; external alert function; remote mounting options; alphanumeric LCD; and six programmable soft keys.
