Monday, 06 April, 2009 | Supplied by: ASD Technology Pty Ltd

ASD Technology has introduced a VME-based receiver, SYS1000N01U from Miteq.

The architecture is a multi-stage superhetrodyne design that will translate an X-band signal with the frequency excursion of 1000 MHz to an IF centre frequency of 70 MHz with an instant bandwidth of 20 MHz.

The receive functionality includes automatic gain control attenuator with analog sampling, channel gain balance attenuator, channel phase balance phase shifter, signal injection point, peak detected signals (available VME interface) and RF signal monitoring points.

The receiver is fabricated into a three-slot wide VME module. Control of the receive components is by using standard VME-64 bus protocols.
