Zetron P25 interface

Friday, 16 October, 2009 | Supplied by: Zetron Australasia Pty Ltd

In conjunction with Tait, Zetron has developed an interface that complies with Telecommunications Industry Association P25 digital fixed station interface standards.

Zetron has been working with Tait to develop the interface that will enable digital communications between Zetron’s Acom Advanced Communication System consoles and conventional P25 networks operating with either an analog FM or P25 common air interface. This includes Tait radio systems.

Zetron has installed its first DFSI-capable Acom system.

The consoles are capable of communications across a wide spectrum of radio bands and dissimilar communications interfaces, including, but not limited to: conventional analog UHF, HF, OpenSky, P25, TETRA, EDACS, SMARTNET, SmartZone, NXDN, iDEN, MPT 1327 and LTR and associated signalling schemes such as Selcal (MDC-1200, Fleetsync, 5/6 tone, G-Star) and DTMF.
