Tyco Electronics has introduced a universal hand toolkit for low volume production, prototyping and repairs.

The kit can be used to crimp a broad spectrum of contacts with wire sizes from 0.09-8.0 mm2. The kit has one base hand tool and four interchangeable die sets.

The die sets are compatible with the following contacts and ferrules: insulated closed barrel terminals and splies; open barrel roll over F-crimps; closed barrel indent crimps; cord end or bootlace ferrules.

An integrated, releasable ratchet mechanism ensures a complete crimp cycle, which ensures high quality crimp connections.
