The EnVoy Mobile Data Server, or MDS, is designed for public safety and commercial vehicles, incorporating a display and keyboard, mounted near the driver, connected to a server mounted in an out-of-the-way place, such as the boot.

The MDS delivers rapid access to the latest applications for public safety, such as global positioning, dispatch and mapping, data collection and transmission, video capture and more.

Utilities, cable companies, telecommunications firms and other vehicle-intensive service companies are beginning to realise the benefits of full-featured, in-vehicle computing for the drivers and technicians who serve their customers. The MDS can serve many functions from dispatch and mapping applications, to online records and database access and data capture and transmission. Customers in this market can gain cost, time and even space savings in the vehicle from transferring paper manual and database material to the in-vehicle computer.
